The scariest part? The rock chard that shattered the largest window in our house, missed my head by about a foot. I escaped unscathed. I can't say the same about the window. I think the glass splintered for 30 minutes straight before we took the preemptive measure to take it down before it fell on somebody or the poor dog.
I wonder how much this is going to cost us?
P.S. It should be fun trying to keep Coal from jumping on the window when he sees imaginary bad guys in the back yard in the middle of the night until we can get the window repaired properly.

Holy S*&%^$#%t! that is going to cost a bundle, and I'm so glad you are OK. Now I don't feel so bad about cracking off the corner of my statue that I broke yesterday. I can superglue it together, which I don't think you can do.
OH MY GOD! Glad you are alright.
And judging from your entry and your mother's comment, it must've been universal break something day. (The mother shattered an irreplaceable egg when she pushed the phone back a little too far in the livingroom.)
Thanks! I never really thought about what that rock would have done to my head if it hit me until way after the fact.
Of course, it is a 'non-standard" sheet of special order glass. That means 4-5 days until it is delivered. The good news? We are getting the contractor rate from a friend. So it is only going to cost us a small mint instead of the federal reserve kind!
SW - Glad you can fix your statue! Was it St. Francis? :-(
NV - Bummer about the egg. I guess super-glue is out of the question?
