Lia Sophia WannaBe

You all know that I have a thing for collecting beads.  I make a few things but mainly I just keep a stash of beads in the house just in case.  You never know when a jewelry emergency might break out!

At work today, the latest and greatest Lia Sophia catalog got passed around.  If you haven't seen it and you like jewelry - then don't click on the link!  I kept looking at page of page of lovelies and I kept commenting "I could make that"  or "Why didn't I think of that?"  Then on one page inspiration hit.  I saw a lovely bracelet that I liked.  But I'm not sure I want to pay $60 for something that i will crash into the desktop all day long!  I kept peeking at the page when I was on the phone and I realized that I had very similar beads at home and I could make my own.

Once I got home and got settled after dinner, I decided to hop to it.  Not only did I make my own version of the $60 beauty (here is my inspiration piece) , I also made a necklace and matching bracelet and earrings from a $3 kit I found on clearance at Michael's a few months ago.  Just imagine what I could have accomplished if I had my thoughts together this past weekend!

Beautiful! I like yours better than the inspiration piece anyway! I do like Lia Sophia, but I do the same thing as you - "I can make that!" And I did. I'm wearing one today that I got the inspiration for from Lia Sophia.

Ty'smommy - I have a huge credit that I have to spend with them. I bought a necklace and several of the beads cracked in half so they are giving me a credit. I figure I need to buy something that I can't make - like rings! Thanks for the compliment, too!

LOVELY!

My Banana Girl makes beaded bracelets, necklaces, and key fobs for her friends. She was so frustrated today because she ran out of her plastic string. I felt so bad for her. Then I smacked her and said, "Snap out of it!"

Just kidding.

Sugar - I hate it when you run out of supplies! I guess I have the advantage that I can drive to the store for more - Banana Girl is stuck!

Nice job, girl! Making jewelry is good therapy. And a helluva lot cheaper than real therapy too. Not that I'd know. ME? NO way!!!
